Cultivation of malting barley is particularly challenging as the requirements growers, for high yield, and that brewing industry, seeking a specific quality criteria, must be met simultaneously. Furthermore, significant genotypic environmental variations in grain yield properties may occur. To investigate relationships between parameters spring barley, 2-year experiment was carried out order to characterise year effects on properties, components 23 high-yielding varieties under optimal nitrogen (N) fertilisation. Compared protein content retention fraction size >2.5 mm, less variation observed.
